Sadness filled my heart when I heard the news of Sal's passing. Every girl remembers their Sweet 16 and I am honored to have Sal forever in my heart, as part of that memory. That first dance at my party, the fun times at the San Gennaro feast with Marie and my Uncle Rich and all the other great times will forever be remembered. Till we meet again...

Story shared: Eating ice cream in the cold

I remember one day at recess i think 5th grade in Mt. Carmel's schoolyard it was freezing cold out and there was Sal eating an ice cream cone. When I asked him how he could eat ice cream in the frigid cold he replied that it was an experiment. He said the ice cream would lower his body temperature and after eating it, his body would try to warm up and raise his temperature keeping him warm. I don't know how it worked out but I do know Sal was destined for greatness as was others from our crew. He wasa great person then and from his bio doesn' seem like anything changed. I will remember you always,
